Production begins on The Who's documentary film The Kids Are Alright directed by Jeff Stein and produced by Tony Klinger and Bill Curbishley
July/August
The Who rehearse sequences for the bio-pic The Kids Are Alright at Shepperton Film Studios which they have purchased. Filming of the band and individual members continues into August both in the UK and the US.
September
Rehearsals commence at Ramport Studios on new material prior to recording tracks for Who Are You.
December 15
The Who play one show at Kilburn State Theatre which is filmed by Jeff Stein for The Kids Are Alright.
