The Who Live at Shea Stadium 1982 – First ever audio release of the full show
Mercury Studios are proud to release
THE WHO
LIVE AT SHEA STADIUM 1982
FIRST EVER AUDIO RELEASE OF THE FULL SHOW
3-LP and 2-CD Sets
Out 1 March 2024
Mercury Studios will release the first official audio companion of Live At Shea Stadium 1982 on 1 March 2024. Previously released on DVD and Blu-ray in June 2015, The Who (Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Kenney Jones augmented by Tim Gorman on piano and keyboards) delivered both classic tracks and rarely performed songs including ‘Pinball Wizard’, ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’, ‘My Generation’, ‘Substitute’, ‘Who Are You’, ‘I Can’t Explain’, ‘See Me Feel Me’,” ‘Baba O’Riley’ and many more. The tour promoted the 1982 album It’s Hard and the set list was comprised of several tracks from that album, some of which the band would only play live on this tour.
The Who’s 1982 North American tour was their last to feature Kenney Jones on drums and the band did not tour again until 1989. This recording features the show from the second of their two nights at New York’s Shea Stadium and was recorded on 13 October 1982.

An amazing tour, seen live at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, NY (Go Bills!) I hope not to wait 40 + years to hear the Live with Orchestra tour collection.
just preordered it on amazon. Please have a digital download code!!!!
Can’t wait to get a copy, have the DVD, also have the DVD if the Toronto concert from Dec 1982
I wonder why 515 was cut.
This is a great release. I always felt that the Who’s Last live LP never quite represented this tour.
I do hope eventually The 2022 Royal Albert Hall Acoustic gig will get a release. Roger on Vocals on Eminence Front, Beads on one String performed for the only time ever ( I think)… It was chaos but so much fun.
Hi, I’m very excited that this show will be released on cd/lp. Any chance the tracks will be remixed? (Like the live bonus tracks for the 1997 expanded It’s Hard).
Those 4 remixed live tracks from Toronto sound GREAT.
So pleased this show has got an audio release. I much prefer complete shows to bits of different shoes out together. This is the period I really got into The Who. I was about 13 years old although my first gig was Wembley Arena in 1989. Roger left the stage early and Pete smashed up his guitar. Since then I’ve been to over 20 shows including Brighton and Sandringham last year and I’m in Row 8 at RAH on 20h March which also happens to be our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Can’t bloody wait.
I saw the who in Memphis, TN in 1980 with Kenny Jones! It was one of the greatest rock concerts I’ve ever seen!
Please bring back the Who baseball jersey “My Generation” in 2XL!
I LOVE ❤️ THE WHO!!
Please Release More Live Concerts That Are In The Vault!!
Thank You ??
15 year old me was at this show.I lost all my friends as soon as i got thefe ended up in the 11th row in front of John…What an amazing night in the Rain…I need this on Vinyl…
Saw the Who On Oct 09 /82 at the CNE grandstand. What a show indeed it was, Kenney did a great job bangin’ those skins. The
whole group was just playing there rears off.
It was a terrific show never forget it.
