This concert was also recorded for possible use for the live album, but in the event this was unnecessary. Years later, while researching unissued live material for the Thirty Years Of Maximum R&B box set, producer Jon Astley discovered that the bass signal from this show failed to record. ; Sunday
This was my first ever gig – I was 11 years old and my mate’s older brother took us along. It was the best introduction to live music one could have, and it was a real thrill to be able to buy the concert on CD a year or so ago. The detail is foggy now – I remember Roger twirling the mic around, and Pete’s jumps. One thing that has always eluded me though – who where the support band that night?
