New video and single of ‘The Seeker’ from the Seeker Musical out now

‘The Seeker’ (featuring Pete Townshend and Nakhane) is the first single from Rachel Fuller’s album of the same name.

Inspired by the timeless story of self-discovery and enlightenment in Herman Hesse’s novel, Siddhartha, originally published in 1922 and which to date has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, composer Rachel Fuller’s The Seeker is a musical reinvention of Siddhartha’s message of hope. With additional music and lyrics written by Pete Townshend, the album includes narration by the late Christopher Plummer, and features a dazzling array of performances from Pete Townshend, Sir Elton John, Nakhane, Emeli Sandé, Layton Williams, Sunidhi Chauhan and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

A world premiere, one-night only performance of The Seeker to celebrate the launch of the album and accompanying illustrated novel will take place at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on Wednesday 6 November, and will feature Pete Townshend, Alfie Boe, Sunidhi Chauhan, and more, together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Excellent arrangement of The Seeker .. I was surprised I liked it .. Great to hear the words that seem to really resonate…. WHEN ..the Who tour again hope it’s without orchestra though .. we’ve done that ..it was good .. but let’s have some core and rare songs played raw .. the regular band plus a brass section can deliver as they have and I have seen for the last 55 years as a fan …
