Kezlowe Button paints The Who
Nine-year-old Kezlowe Button is the son of our bass player Jon Button and his wife Terryn Westbrook. Last Christmas, Kezlowe sent us some paintings he had created on his iPad for The Who’s website and our social media. We loved them and so did you fans. So when The Who played two nights at Edinburgh Castle on their The Who Hits Back! UK tour, we were delighted when Kezlowe send us this great painting he’d done of Pete and Roger surrounded by flying bagpipes. Who fans went wild for it and Kezlowe was showered with compliments about his drawing skills and his artwork.
We were then further delighted when Who fan John Chamley got in touch asking if he might purchase the painting in return for a donation of £500 to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Kezlowe couldn’t believe it and so we had a digital print made on canvas and mounted on a stretcher frame. Pete and Roger both added their signatures and the picture was sent to John, the generous Who fan.
Many thanks to Kezlowe and to Jon and Terryn, Pete and Roger, Tom Kenny and Richard Evans, to John Chamley for his kind donation, and to Ian Yorke and Amanda Maggs at Iris Print Ltd.
