Pete Townshend shows up in Ottawa to honour Des McAnuff

The rumours were rife. Would he? Wouldn’t he? And, yes, Pete Townshend  turned up last night to pay his respects to his friend Des McAnuff (book author, director and Tony winner and nominee for the Broadway production of ‘Tommy’), who was being honoured at the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards 20th anniversary Gala at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
