The Who announce their most intimate show in 40 years!
To celebrate the release of WHO – The Who’s ‘best album since 1975′, The Who announce they will play their smallest live show in over 40 years! The date is set to mark 50 years to the day of their historic Live at Leeds concert – 14 Feb 2020. This is a never to be repeated intimate acoustic show.

This album is almost all new songs written last year, with just two exceptions… There is no theme, no concept, no story, just a set of songs that I (and my brother Simon) wrote to give Roger Daltrey some inspiration, challenges and scope for his newly revived singing voice… Roger and I are both old men now, by any measure, so I’ve tried to stay away from romance, but also from nostalgia if I can. I didn’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Memories are okay, and some of the songs refer to the explosive state of things today.” – Pete Townshend
The performance will take place at Pryzm, Kingston-Upon-Thames on 14 February 2020.

Pryzm is all ages for this show – under 14s must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+). Over 18s should bring PHOTO ID (driving license / passport).
CD/ticket is £16 post-paid, and other formats and combos are available. Albums and tickets will be together. The album is out now.

Heartbroken. Saw the email about the gig 10 hours after getting back from Parents Evening as a teacher. Bought the signed CD. Bought Pete’s new book (signed) been to Przym a few times. To see The Who there would be the gig of my life. Missed a once in a lifetime opportunity. If I’d seen my email at 8:00am but busy at school from 6:50am.

I saw The Who back in 1988 at the Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit, Michigan. One of the greatest shows ever. I really want to catch them on this tour. They are a must-see band. Legends that will live on in history as innovators of modern music of all kinds. Thanks for sharing your talents with the world, men!!!
