The Who add 1 more show to their sold out UK tour

The Who will be rounding off their sold out UK ‘Quadrophenia And More’ tour with one more show – at London’s Wembley Arena on July 8th – in aid of the Double O charity.

The tour follows on from a hugely successful North American, tour, praised by press and fans alike as probably the definitive interpretation of Quadrophenia and a rock ‘n’ roll lover’s dream come true” (Telegram.com, Boston). “QUADROPHENIA is their (The Who’s) boldest and most fully realized albums,” writes Rolling Stone, “but it’s never quite gotten the live show it deserves – until now”.

An exclusive fan presale begins at 9am on Wednesday, March 13. To join the fanclub, click HERE.

The general ticket sale begins at 9am on Friday, March 15.

Double O was started by The Who in 1976 to help Erin Pizzey fund her Chiswick Women’s Refuges.  It then became the first concert fundraiser for Nordoff-Robbins.  In 1983, Pete Townshend took over Double O and performed concerts to support a large number of drug rehab charities, the Prince’s Trust and Rock Against Racism. The Trust now runs as a private dispersal charity, focussed, more than ever, on ‘survival’ of drug and alcohol damage, domestic violence, sexual abuse, music education, emergency relief for International disasters and young people’s prison reform.

Double O has dispersed about £4,000,000 and been indirectly responsible for the dispersal of another similar amount through Double O Promotions.

Is this to be a Quad show or a set of mixed songs?

UK tour sold out already ? If that´s true, it´s highly surprising. Could The Who be as popular as ever in 2013 !?

      2. Kevin says:

Fan club pre-sale codes – 4 tickets PER SHOW or 4 tickets PER TOUR?

Both statements can be found on here – confusing.

Have 4 for the O2 🙂 want 2 for Wembley but Ticketmaster won’t accept code.

Very excited! May fly from the states! Does anyone know if Wembley will be general admission on the floor, or will there be seats/rows?

Curse me for a poltroon but I was rather hoping for an “off the beaten track” type show – I’m seeing Quad four times and that’s quite a lot for even a “known psychopath” like myself!
