The Who Nail It in Orlando
// php starkers_posted_on(); ?>
The Who gave a rousing performance, to the delight of Who fans young and old, of Quadropenia and Who classics, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida last night.
The technical problems which has arisen in the first show had vanished and both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend seemed to relish in the power and energy of their performance. The new production of ‘Quadrophenia’ focuses on presenting Pete Townshend’s score as it was first recorded on the original album. It is accompanied by visuals which add the 4th dimension – Time – to the original concept of the work, which was to represent the four personalities of The Who ‘back then’ – Pete, Roger, John and Keith. It is as if the two surviving members of the band are looking back at the life aqnd times of the band and the context in which they achieved their success.
The second part of the concert was pure magic, with the band rattling through the band’s most famous hits and with Pete and Roger kissing the audience goodnight with a touching performance of ‘Tea And Theatre’, from The Who’s last album, ‘Endless Wire’.
The next gig is in Duluth, GA on Monday November 5th. To buy tickets for this and/or other gigs on the tour, click HERE.

How did you like that Relay teaser into Who Are You?
Can someone tell me what time The Who actually hit the stage?
Thanks
Can anyone tell me what time The Who hit the stage? Going to the Greensboro show but my flight doesn’t land in Raligh until 6:30pm so I hope I can make it.
Thanks.
Absolutely brilliant! Roger Daltrey’s production design on this tour is nothing short of amazing. 6 video screens, seamless animation sequences, Who inspired lighting, and of course, awesome performances by the Who themselves has made this one of the best concerts I have ever seen (and I’ve seen well over 100). Great show,guys! Keep rocking!
Pittsburgh is looking forward to the Who…Long Live Rock!
