Terminally ill Wilko Johnson is recording a farewell album with Roger Daltrey.

The former Dr Feelgood guitarist decided to team up with The Who’s Daltrey after the pair met at an awards ceremony this month.

“They did tell me in January I’d be dead in October,” says Wilko, “but I may last into next year. I hope we’ll have something done before I go.”

To Wilko …

I have followed you and Dr. Feelgood for the past 35+ years. You are a genius as was Lee. Thank you for all the wonderful music and memories you have given me.

Aw; no farewells…just a “See you later…!”
((SIGH)) It’s been real, and it’s been sweet.
(It’s been real sweet…!) I loved the era~~I always will.
