The Who Rock Liverpool

The Twittersphere – @TheWho – started buzzing yesterday morning, as fans, young and old, mod and metro, made their pilgrimage to Liverpool’s Echo Arena to see The Who perform Quadrophenia (and greatest hits). And it hasn’t stopped buzzing since. The Who didn’t disappoint their audience and the stage production, directed by Roger Daltrey, of Quadrophenia, which has already been described in several press articles as the definitive Quadrophenia, met and beat expectations.

“An amazing gig,” writes Marc Waddington of the Liverpool Echo, “and as you sat through the video montage of momentous events from the year they formed through to now, you got a feeling that this band will never die, just as their music never grows old.”

The Who take ‘Quadrophenia and More’ to Paris and Amsterdam this week before closing the tour on Monday July 8th at Wembley Arena, London. A few tickets are still available HERE.

Thrilling gig at Liverpool. The band were ‘on it’ right from the off. The crowd more than played their part. This the 13th time I have seen The Who, the first being Charlton in 1976. The Liverpool show was up there with the very best I have seen from them. No other live act I have seen even comes close.

Been following The Who for 9 years, and I’ve finally seen them live.

And it’s true what they say, you’ve got to see them live… absolutely brilliant, I’ll never forget it.
