This was my first time seeing the Who and I was not disappointed. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend are known as some of Rock and Roll’s great musicians but I learned to appreciate them even more after seeing them play live, and was pleased to see them in one of my favorite venues in Reno. What a way to kick off the 2013 concert season.

A friend and I came down to Reno from Vancouver BC.

The trip was justified! The venue was great with friendly staff, creating an all round good vibe both during and in the foyer before the show.

The whole band were sensational. The stage presence of Roger and Pete were electric. They gave it their all and looked like they were totally into it. Seeing Pete Townsend in action was worth the ticket price alone. He seemed to go through a whole range of emotions during the show. When there were slight guitar/ technical hitches, he seemed to use his frustrations to get even more fired up and spur him on…Rogers voice was spot on, and it was a nice touch for him to thank the audience at the end of the show for not smoking pot ( pot smoke screws his vocal cords).

I was lucky enough to see Roger Daltry on the Tommy tour in 2012, and now the Who Quadrephenia tour in 2013.

Who’s Next – Lifehouse tour in 2014? We can hope – I’ll be there with bells on…….

I have seen the Who four times in 82,89 in Oakland Ca and in 2007 and 2013 in Reno NV. This past concert was the best by far and probably the best concert i ever saw. The who rocks and keeps everyones spirits alive every show. I hope they come to Reno again in the near future.
